About us

More than a racing team

We develop drivers. We build their progression.

At ALC Motorsport, we believe performance never happens by chance. It is built through experience, method and consistent work.

We specialise in the complete development of karting drivers, supporting every stage of their progression: from their first training sessions to racing at the highest level.

Our objective is not simply to prepare drivers for the next race. It is to help them build a solid foundation from which they can grow with confidence, enjoy the process and reach their full potential.

Our story

Our story

ALC Motorsport was born from a passion for racing and a lifetime dedicated to karting.

The project was founded by Ángel López and Juan Antonio del Pino, both of whom have been involved in karting from a very young age.

After years of racing experience, from karting through Formula and GT categories, they chose to turn that knowledge into a project focused on developing the next generation of drivers.

Today, that experience is reflected in our own methodology, built around technical preparation, track work, analysis, continuous improvement and individual support for every driver and family.

Main collaborating partner

Together with Kart Fun

Since the beginning, ALC Motorsport has worked closely with Kart Fun, our main collaborating partner.

With two karting centres located at Plaza Mayor in Málaga and in Estepona, Kart Fun is where many young drivers first discover the sport.

Through its introductory courses, drivers learn the fundamentals of karting and begin to enjoy driving in a safe, educational and accessible environment.

For those ready to continue their progression, ALC Motorsport builds on that learning through a competition-focused development programme, combining technical work, track preparation, analysis and individual support at every step.

Together, both structures create a natural and continuous pathway, supporting each driver from their first laps through to the challenges of competition.

The foundation of every driver

Results can change from one weekend to the next. A driver’s development remains throughout their sporting career.

We build the foundations

At ALC Motorsport, we understand that a driver’s success is not built solely on the result of a race.

It is built on a solid foundation of knowledge, working habits and an understanding of the sport.

Our objective is to develop drivers capable of progressing consistently, regardless of the category in which they compete or the team with which they continue their career in the future.

Because a strong foundation does more than improve the present.

It stays with the driver throughout their sporting career.

Every driver is a unique project

No two drivers are the same.

Each one arrives with a different age, level of experience, way of learning and set of objectives.

That is why ALC Motorsport does not believe in standard programmes.

We assess each driver’s starting point and design a development plan around their needs, always respecting their pace of learning and progression.

We do not adapt the driver to a programme. We adapt the programme to the driver.

Because developing a driver also means understanding the person behind the helmet.

Experience turned into a method

Our methodology is the result of many years spent living karting from the inside.

As drivers, mechanics, coaches and sporting managers, we have learned that genuine progress does not depend on talent alone.

It depends on having clear direction, a working method and the ability to improve every time the driver goes out on track.

Over the years, we have supported many drivers through different stages of their development.

Many remain part of ALC Motorsport.

Others have continued their journey within national and international structures.

What remains with all of them is a technical foundation and a way of working that began here.

That is the true value of our work.

Beyond boundaries

ALC Motorsport was created to develop drivers from the ground up.

We still do that today, but with a much broader vision.

We support our drivers in regional, national and international championships, helping them approach every new challenge with the same working methodology.

Our commitment does not end when a driver changes category, championship or even team.

We continue to advise, plan and support their progression so that every step is backed by a solid foundation and coherent sporting direction.

Because driver development has no borders.

The ALC Development Cycle

Continuous progression

Every driver improves when there is a clear working process.

At ALC Motorsport, every training session forms part of a continuous cycle of learning.

We do not view a track session as an isolated exercise.

Each day begins before the helmet goes on and continues long after the driver steps out of the kart.

  1. OBSERVE

    We get to know the driver.

    We assess their level, objectives and starting point.

  2. UNDERSTAND

    We identify strengths and areas for improvement.

    We listen to the driver, interpret their feedback and understand what they need to keep developing.

  3. PLAN

    We set clear objectives for every session.

    Every run on track has a purpose.

  4. TRAIN AND SUPPORT

    Every track session has a defined objective.

    During training, the driver is never working alone. We support them lap after lap, providing reference points, correcting technical details and adapting the session as their driving evolves.

    We work on driving technique, lines, braking, racecraft and the ability to adapt to the different situations that can arise during a session or a race.

    Because progress often comes not from completing more laps, but from understanding what the driver needs at the right moment.

  5. ANALYSE

    After each session, we bring together all the available information.

    The driver’s feedback, the coach’s observations, video analysis and telemetry allow us to understand what actually happened on track.

    We are not only looking to identify mistakes.

    We want to understand why each situation occurred and turn it into an opportunity to learn.

  6. IMPROVE

    We turn every analysis into new objectives.

    Each session produces lessons that are applied to the next one.

  7. RACE

    Competition is where all the work is put into practice.

    It is not the end of the process.

    It is another part of it.

  8. START AGAIN

    After every race, a new stage begins.

    Every experience creates new lessons and new objectives.

    This is how we understand driver development:

    as a continuous process of improvement.
